What we collect when you contact us about a glass repair, what we do with it, and what we never do with it.

Sparkle Glass Ltd. (“we”, “us”) operates sparkleglass.net. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We keep it short because our practices are simple.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit our quote form, call, text or email, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the address or area of the job, and whatever description or photos you choose to send.
- Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. This collects standard technical information such as approximate location, device and browser type, pages visited and time on page. It is not used to identify you personally.
- Approximate location of visitors. Our site sends us a notification when a visitor arrives, including the general city or region derived from the IP address. This is not stored and is not linked to any individual.
- Session recordings and heatmaps. We use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymised interactions with this website — pages viewed, scrolling, clicks and mouse movement — so we can see which pages are confusing and fix them. Recordings are not linked to your name and we cannot use them to identify you. Everything you type into our quote form (name, phone, email and message) is masked before the recording leaves your browser, so we never see keystrokes. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, no recording is made. Microsoft's privacy statement covers how they process this data.
What we use it for
Contact details are used to prepare your estimate, schedule the work, complete the job and invoice you. Photos and measurements are used to price glass accurately. Analytics data is used to improve the website. That is the full list.
What we don't do
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not send marketing email unless you have specifically asked for it. We do not display advertising on this website.
Who else sees it
Only where necessary to do the work: glass fabricators receive the measurements and specifications for your order (not your contact details unless delivery requires it), and our payment processor handles card transactions. Our website is hosted by Netlify and analytics are provided by Google. We may disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that don't become jobs are kept for up to two years in case you come back to us. Completed job records and invoices are kept as long as Canadian tax and business record requirements demand, currently seven years.
Cookies
This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to distinguish repeat visitors. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works normally without them.
Your rights
Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email info@sparkleglass.ca or call (778) 785-1365 and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
