Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you book glass work with us — quotes, deposits, custom orders, payment and warranty.
Last updated: 25 August 2026
These terms apply to glass repair, replacement and installation work carried out by Sparkle Glass Ltd. in British Columbia, and to the use of this website.
Quotes and estimates
Estimates are free and carry no obligation. A quote given from photographs or described measurements is an estimate only; the binding price is the written quote issued after we measure on site. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. If conditions we could not reasonably have seen come to light once work begins — rot behind trim, a frame out of square, hidden damage — we will stop, explain what we've found, and give you a revised price before continuing.
Custom and made-to-order glass
Tempered, laminated, sealed and specialty glass cannot be cut or altered after manufacture. It is made to the dimensions on your approved quote. Once fabrication has begun, orders for custom glass cannot be cancelled or refunded. Please check the measurements and glass specification on your quote before approving it. A deposit may be required for custom orders.
Scheduling
Appointment times are estimates. Emergency call-outs, traffic and weather can move a booking, and we will contact you as soon as we know. If you need to reschedule, please give us as much notice as you can. Repeated missed appointments where our crew has already travelled to site may attract a call-out charge.
Access and site conditions
You are responsible for providing safe, legal access to the work area, including any strata approvals, elevator bookings or parking arrangements required by your building. Please clear furniture and belongings from the immediate work area. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, or for items left in the work area.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless other terms are agreed in writing. We accept cash, debit, credit card and e-transfer. Invoices itemize glass, labour, board-up and framing separately so they can be submitted to an insurer.
Insurance & WorkSafeBC
Sparkle Glass Ltd. maintains commercial general liability insurance and is in good standing with WorkSafeBC. Certificates of insurance and clearance letters are available on request for property managers, strata councils and commercial clients.
Warranty
Our workmanship is warranted against defects in installation for one year from the date of installation. Insulated (sealed) glass units carry a 10-year warranty against seal failure. Other glass products carry the applicable manufacturer's warranty. Warranty does not cover breakage after installation, impact damage, vandalism, damage caused by building movement or structural issues, or hard-water etching and other surface wear. Contact us as soon as you notice a problem and we will inspect it.
Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the work performed. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost business or trade, arising from delays in the manufacture or delivery of glass by third parties.
Website content
Information on this website, including guide articles and cost discussion, is general information about glass work in British Columbia. It is not a quote, and it is not professional advice about your specific building. Code requirements change; always confirm current requirements for your project. Photographs on this site show our own work.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada.
